Travel if you have a conviction

In this topic

Having a conviction can cause some issues for foreign travel depending on what your chosen destination is. Niacro has compiled a series of guides to give you an idea of the rules around the world.

Generally speaking, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Japan are quite strict in relation to getting visa entry with a conviction regardless of whether it for a holiday is or for immigration purposes.

Entry is not impossible, but you will probably have to go through a longer administrative process and success is not guaranteed.

While our guides are not exhaustive, they will give you a starting point for further research you can carry on in your own time. We would strongly advise you to contact the embassies of the countries you intend to visit and find out their entry requirements.

As ever, you can always contact us for advice and support.

There are five guides in all and they are laid out below.
